The Óbuda University Bánki Donát Faculty of Mechanical and Safety Engineering along with the Hungarian Baptist Aid provided warm meal for needy residents of Budapest and its 8th district on Saturday, January 29, 2022 as part of the field-work of the students in the Humanitarian Response Manager special training. About 400 people recieved warm meal at the event, and the remaining amount was delivered and distributed to one of the homeless shelters of the Hungarian Baptist Aid.
During the practice of our unique training in the country, the students showed how to set up and operate a cooking point in a possible disaster situation, as well as how to provide and feed those in need. In addition, other practical social activities were presented, which were attended by social workers from the Hungarian Baptist Aid, as well as their medical team and ambulance car.
